CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
This training course features the following main components/themes:

Classical Chinese Medicine Foundation; Five Element Healing as taught by J.R. Worsley

A relational spiritual path that leads/guides you to being in service with your gifts, skills, and talents

Learning how to access

the Spiritual Wisdom of Plants
-
Shamanic Healing Methods including Extractions and Soul Retrieval AND
-
Shadowing an instructor practitioner during their sessions with clients
Please note that there are three faculty members and in any segment of training the instructor may vary.
A pre-requisite for this program is experience in shamanic journeying. If you do not have such experience, please contact us so we can suggest resources before the program begins. In this training, personal journeys are the key to directly experiencing:

the energy of the seasons.

the energy of the elements.

the role and function of the meridians which are part of the human system and contribute to human function on all levels, body, mind, and spirit.

relationships with spirit guides, the natural world, and the medicines you will be working with.
Pulse Taking
Learning the art of reading pulses takes years of dedicated practice. Each student will be asked to take 6 or more pulses per day for the duration of their training, as part of their ongoing homework.
Diagnostic Skill Development
To see what others cannot see / To hear what others do not hear / To smell what others no longer notice / To ask and to feel at a level many are afraid to explore. These form the diagnostic criteria of: Colour / Odour / Sound of Voice / Emotion.

An Introduction to the Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and The Seasons of Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, and Winter.

The Causative Factor (CF) – Getting to the root cause of illness and dis-ease on any/all levels.

The 12 Meridians/Officials.

The Law of Yin/Yang and other Natural Laws such as: Law of Cure, Chinese Clock, Mother/Child, Husband/Wife.

Correspondences of the Elements.

Movement of Energy, their Cycles and Patterns.

Special Considerations (types of blocks and imbalances that interrupt or prevent the full and natural flow of life force energy).

Patient Consultation and Assessment.

Clinical Session Overview.

Spiritual Wisdom of Plants: Level I An Introduction. **

Classic Shamanic Healing Methods: Extractions and Soul Retrieval. **

Seasonal Field Trips (weather and time permitting).

Fire (and other) ceremonies.

Exploration of the nature of illness, the role of medicine, and the skills to recognize when healing work has resulted in a balanced and harmonious state within the individual, thus furthering their healing potential.
**Note: While there are other courses and instructors offering Shamanic Healing Methods and Plant Spirit Communication, if these have not been taken prior to registration, please wait until they are offered at the appropriate time in the training. This also ensures that the individual nature of each person’s gifts will be taken into consideration and supported in informing your future Medicine Path healing practice.
INFORMATION EVENING
An informal information evening outlining the program and answering applicant's questions will be hosted by Kim and Maureen and offered in February 2024. Date and time TBA.
APPLICATION/REGISTRATION
Applications are welcome starting November 1, 2023. Deadline to apply is February 15, 2024.
Once your application is received an instructori will be in touch to make arrangements to meet in person (or via Zoom) sometime between November 2023 and February 2024. Meetings are typically one hour.
This program requires a minimum of 8 participants. Once that number has been reached all applicants will be advised. If the number is not met by February 15, 2024, a confirmation of cancellation will be issued.
Note: Additional applications will still be accepted after the deadline date IF the training is confirmed to proceed.

TUITION FEES
Full Tuition Costs: $13,000.00 plus gst
DEPOSIT
Deposit amount: $1000.00 plus gst (non-refundable) = $1050.00
Deadline for payment of deposit: March 15, 2024 (e-transfer, or credit card)
TUITION DUE DATES
The 2 year classroom portion of the program is broken into 8 gatherings of 4 days each, approximately 3 months apart. Exact dates will be forwarded after all deposits have been received. Tuition is broken down into 4 payments of $3000.00 each (plus gst) due two weeks before the first, third, fifth and seventh gathering. Typically, the gathering schedule is: Year 1- 2024: Apr/July/Oct. Year 2- 2025: Feb/May/August/Nov. Year 3 – 2026 February. Once the classroom training is complete the student can begin their internship and clinically supervised patient sessions (if homework, pulse taking, and patient assessment practice is completed).
Tuition includes the full practitioner training program with a focus on four key areas: Classical Chinese Medicine Five Element healing theory and framework; basic training in developing relationships with Nature and Spirit; Spiritual Wisdom of Plants, and Shamanic Healing Methods. Training Costs NOT included in general tuition:

Clinically supervised patient sessions after classroom graduation (typically between 8 and 12 patients over 1 – 1 ½ years). Note: Interning practitioner will charge the patient for their services and in turn is responsible for payment of supervision at instructing practitioner’s current rate.

Private training regarding the integration of your own unique skills and ‘medicine gifts’ (typically ½ - 1 hour sessions totalling 4-6 hours over 1-2 years). This is when the training becomes customized to each student.

Five Element Medicine Path treatments for students. This is not mandatory but is highly recommended to allow the student to personally experience this system of medicine. Practitioner rates vary.

One-on-one student sessions to review progress (typically 1-3 sessions of 1 hour each during the two year classroom training).
